Accordingly, this Circular applies in the following cases: (i) Payment of SARS-CoV-2 testing costs in accordance with the law on health insurance; (ii) Users of SARS-CoV-2 testing services pay for themselves and cases paid by the State budget in accordance with the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, except for cases of sampling, preservation of samples, implementation and return of SARS-CoV-2 test results in the community paid by the State budget in accordance with the Law on Prevention and Control, fight infectious diseases.
The price of SARS-CoV-2 testing services is divided into two cases: (1) Cases within the scope of payment of the Health Insurance Fund; (2) Cases where the health insurance fund is not covered by the health insurance fund. In particular, the price of SARS-CoV-2 testing services in case it is in the payment scope of the Health Insurance Fund:
- SARS-CoV-2 Ag rapid test: maximum of no more than VND 109,700 per test.
- SARS-CoV-2 test by an automatic or semi-automatic immune machine: The maximum payment is no more than VND 186,600 per test.
Sars-CoV-2 test using Realtime RT-PCR:
+ Case of application: maximum no more than VND 518,400/test.
+ Sample pooling case: The maximum payment rate does not exceed the sample gross test price specified in Column 2 of Appendix I issued together with Circular No. 16/2021/TT-BYT.
